So, a couple weeks ago it was my sister’s graduation, she graduated with an BA in English! So very proud of her, and this was the first time that each family member made it to a graduation! HURRAY!
As we grow older, with jobs and other commitments it’s always hard to find the time to get together but once we are all reunited, it is a lovely feeling of Home wherever we might be.
This time we were in Coventry for the graduation and then Birmingham for the celebration dinner. We tried out the Harvey Nichols restaurant for our lunch and it was surprisingly delicious. Ended up having fish & chips, and although I live in England and that’s like the national dish, I never ordered it before. But when I tried this dish at the restaurant, it did not disappoint! The batter was light and crispy, the fish was perfectly flavoured and it was accompanied with skinny fries and a pea purée.
For the occasion I wanted to dress comfortable but chic. I ordered this Bardot bodysuit from ASOS just to have as a classic wardrobe staple, I’ve already worn it twice! And then I went to Zara one day and found these beautiful tailored trousers.
I need to stop going to Zara so often because I always end up buying something and it’s not good for the bank account! But the way I justified these trousers were, I don’t have anything checkered, these trousers are versatile, I could wear them for work or for going out, and I don’t have anything similar at all, and they’re classic! Can you hear the alarm bells of a chronic shopaholic?!!
Anyway, this is the full outfit, I also threw on a faux fur scarf to add texture.
What do you think of the overall look?
